UPDATE: We’ve been purchasing travel gear a lot lately (end of 2011 to current). Corey’s parents got us our main travel packs for Christmas 2009 & this past Christmas (2011) they got us our sleeping bags! We got our daypacks last summer (2010). Lately, we’ve been able to cross off a LOT of items, big & small!
Below you’ll find a comprehensive list of the items that we need/want to come along with us. We know that a lot of seasoned backpackers would take a lot less! However, it is our first big trip & I think we need to make some mistakes on our own in order to figure out what’s going to work best for us. We’ll try our best to keep this list as up-to-date as possible & once we start travelling we’ll let you know what items worked & what items had to be ditched on the road!

- Mirroless camera (Nikon 1 + lens)
- 2 Cheap digital watches (probably Target)
- Nikon fog eliminator cloths ($7 for 3 packs @ REI)
- Medication: liquid band aids, normal band aids, q-tips, aspirin, neosporin, orajel, imodium, etc.
- Moleskin journals (2 + nice pen & art markers)
- Drain blocker (big rubber bouncy ball)
- Zip ties
- Sunscreen, bug spray, wet wipes & toilet paper
