We are a 20-something couple, Corey & Lisa Waller, who have always dreamed of traveling to far off places. We hope to have the money we need by summer fall of 2012! We know what you’re thinking, “Another travel blog!” But, we will try our best to keep things fun & entertaining.
Right now we’re based in Wisconsin, USA, saving up our money to travel for a year or longer. Corey works at a factory during the week and lays tile on weekends. Lisa is an administrative specialist/front desk receptionist. We definitely don’t have luxurious jobs, but have tried our best to cut out the “extras” & focus on what’s important: saving.
We hope to give as much advice as we can when it comes to saving & traveling. And we will take any advice we can get!
While we’re on our trip we want to stay at affordable accommodations. We plan on couchsurfing (couchsurfing.org), staying in hostels & farm/homestays (workaway.info). We’re also really looking forward to getting off the beaten path. So, if you have a friend that you know is willing to take in a couple of fun people, please drop us a line: wallagrams365@hotmail.com! Also, feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our trip!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there,
Stumbled across your blog from… the interweb (I can’t remember from which site). Anyway, my husband and I are in the same boat: saving, and dreaming of our getaway in 2011.
Good luck with your plan! Will keep an eye on your blog.
You can follow us at Jack and Jill Travel The World
I checked out your site. . . can’t wait to read about all of your (mis)adventures! I love that you said: You’re somewhat obsessed about research and planning… You even plan to “not plan certain parts of the trip”, cause that’s totally us! We have no set route/plan, but we talk about the trip all the time & are constantly making changes to it even though we still have plenty of time before departure & we’ll be playing it by ear as we go!
Good luck to you, too & thanks for stopping by!
Wisconsin, Represent! Me, born and raised in West bend, college at UW Platteville then left and have been working and traveling around the world for the last 5 years, but I still miss Wisconsin.
Hope to see you out there! I will stay tuned.
Mike
Hey Mike,
I (Lisa) believe I’ve read some of your comments on bootsnall. I’m always cruising the message boards for any travel information. Thanks for stopping by & we’d love to meet you on the road somewhere! Safe travels!
Love your blog…and that you have started documenting your preparations! My husband and I are in the same mode. We are also in Wisconsin currently! We just sold our house in Chicago, and are crashing with family until we get things organized and ready to go.
Currently just devouring blogs and their content. We are trying to brainstorm for a name for ours. A bit harder than we originally though…I think we are close. We have traveled a ton already, but really can’t wait to go off the beaten path for a while!
Looking forward to reading your posts! If you are ever in the Kohler/Sheboygan area in the near future, please drop us a line!
Cheers to many, many miles of safe travels!
Stephany
Hey Stephany! It’s nice to know that there’s another couple in the area planning their own adventure! It seems as though every blog we follow are Canadians, Europeans (mostly UK) and New Yorkers! Not that theres anything wrong with that, but it feels like I’ve met a neighbor!
Congratulations on selling your house, that alone (in this market) is something to celebrate! Definitely send us a link to your blog once you’ve got it set up, we’d love to follow your travels!
Safe travels to you too & take care!
Lisa (and Corey)

Thanks for stopping by! We love following family blogs because we hope to continue to travel once we have kids – it’s nice to know that it IS possible!
Cheers,
Corey & Lisa
Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one!
.pretty much the same page layout and design. I like the choice of colors!
Thanks for stopping by. . . glad you like it!
Have you ever think of creating an e-book? I have a wordpress blog based on the same topic and would like to share some information. I know my subscribers would enjoy your work. If you’re in, feel free to send me an email.
We haven’t thought about this, but we’ll give it some thought.
thanks,
Corey & Lisa
